We are a young family that went on our 2nd cruise for some much needed RnR during the school holidays. Initially, we were a little worried about the cruise being a little too Asian themed, having read the reviews here, but we managed to make the best of it. Having paid ~$7,000 inc spending money, we were expecting the best!

Our cabin: The good stuff:

Grand suite was up to our $5000 expectations with great balcony, sun loungers & table n chairs

Cabin Review

Our cabin: The good stuff:

Grand suite was up to our $5000 expectations with great balcony, sun loungers & table n chairs

V comfy bed and big sofa bed for our son.

Privacy curtain a nice touch for mum n dad ;-)

Great daily fruit bowl

Wife loved vanity area and big wardrobes

Son loved Tv channels.

Powerful n quiet aircon most of the time altho some aircon rattling did keep me awake for a few nights

Blackout curtains good

Daily house keeping good and loved the animals made from the towels at night, great touch!

Our cabin: The not so good stuff:

Wifi should be free for suite guests paying $5000 per week!

I paid $230 for wifi for the week which kept dropping out and kept having to log back in, only suitable for very basic internet needs

Bottled water should be free for suite guests. Having to keep ordering six glasses of water each time was a hassle

No mini bar in grand suite?

Toilet seat a little worn

Could've used a washing line on the balcony to dry swimmers, lost a gym shirt overboard

Bath tub a bit small only suitable for shower or kids bath

Ceilings a bit low but expected on a ship?

Port Reviews

Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon)

Too early start and 3 hr round trip too far

Bangkok (Laem Chabang)

5 hr round trip too far. Not really Bangkok when 2 hr drive away
