Drove down to Port Canaveral from New York during February break. Tenth cruise, nine on Carnival, one on Royal Caribbean. We are a family of four and were traveling with four other families. All first time Cruisers. Chose the Magic because of the price and all of the activities available on board.
Embarkation - Getting on the ship was a smooth process, within 15 minutes our entire group was having a drink in the Magic lobby. It was almost 1:30 so we all headed to our cabins to drop our things then to lido to get lunch. We had perfect weather on this cruise not a drop of rain just some wind on day two. After lunch we spent the day finding our way around the ship and exploring everything she had to offer. Great first day!
Rather than get to detailed I'll say this about the three sea days (Costa Maya was cancelled due to wind), get up early if you want to be around the main pool. People do leave their towels out early. No different than any other ship I have been on. Just a tip. There was plenty to do for all of us. The kids used Sports Square day and night and it was their favorite spot to hang out in. Waterworks is great for everyone. Serenity is great to get away from all of the fun by the main pool. Playlist productions were well done, fast paced shows that we all enjoyed, as well as the Punchliner comedy club at night. There really was something for all of us to enjoy.
Clean spacious cabin. No issues here.
Lots of traffic getting to the terminal. Once inside everything went smoothly.
Loved the beach at the port. Swam and shopped all day.
Love this port. Went to Paradise beach for the day and had a wonderful time. Good shops in port also.
