Cabin: Mini-Suite with Balcony

This was our first time on Princess and were looking forward to having a mini suite. However, while the cabin was nice, it's location in the ship, two decks below the skywalk, and the constant vibration in our cabin, made it less than desirable. Our cabin steward, Federico was great and swapped the feather pillows for others that were hypoallergenic. The mini suite came with it's own dining area and staff and was any time dining. No reservations seemed necessary. For a ship of this size, the Horizon Grille and Court were able to accommodate the large volume of passengers without feeling over crowded. The food was OK. Much better the first few days, but then started to loose it's appeal. Most cut fruit was under ripe as were the tomatoes, which were almost white in the center. I ordered the Heirloom tomato salad in the Crown Grille and what I got was one cherry tomato cut in half and one small, hard, under ripe tomato that may have been a Roma.

We and our friends choose to dine around 6 pm and were generally done between 7:00 and 7:30 pm. The first several days, we tried to take in the 8:15 show but all seating in the theater was full and there was only limited standing room. We were told by other passengers that most seats in the theater were gone at least an hour ahead. If you want to attend the earlier show, eat at the Horizon Grille around 5pm or choose the later show.

Maybe we were expecting something different, but most the (enrichment?) lectures seemed geared toward further spa services. I did have a massage in the spa and can highly recommend Ivanna.

Cabin Review

Mini-Suite with Balcony

Cabin M1

The cabin was a good size; had a nice layout, and had plenty of storage. However, it was two decks below and right in the middle of the skywalk. By day, there was no privacy on the balcony and by night, the skywalk was constantly illuminated by bright blue neon lights which illuminated the cabin unless the drapes were kept closed. In addition, we could feel the ship's vibration in our cabin whenever we were underway. At times, the vibration was so strong, that you feel it lying in bed at night. Our friends in cabin R423 complained of the same issue.
