This was our first NCL cruise. We have previously only sailed DCL. While we can afford those cruises, we no longer feel the value is there. This cruise was about $2,000 less than our last DCL cruise on the Fantasy in the same room type at about the same time of year plus we got two free at sea promotions, the UBP and 4 nights of specialty dinning. We were told there was 1,000 kids on this sailing, but after years on DCL, we really didn't notice.

Embarkation: Not impressed. Had to wait an hour to check in and how they lead you onto the ship should really be rethought.

Cabin: Smaller than what we get on DCL, but fit our family of 4 just fine. Was myself, DH, DS (14) and DD (9). Room was quiet and close to elevators/stairs. Loved the location.

Mid-Ship Mini-Suite with Balcony

Great location! Quick elevator ride up to deck with pool and buffet and just a few flights up from atrium, restaurants, and other offerings. No problems with the room.

Pool is awesome, some nice duty free shopping, but having to purchase food and drinks is a disappointment, especially to those used to sailing on DCL and enjoying Castaway Cay.
