We choose the Celebrity Equinox because we received a great price on an Aqua Class balcony. The Aqua Class perks read well but were really meaningless except for access to the Blu restaurant. The food and service in the Blu was awesome (10 out of 10). I would go Aqua Class again just for access to the Blu restaurant.

So what did I mean by the other perks were really meaningless..... Well we only seen the daily two free bottles of water on the first day..... Never did get out free bottle of champagne.....we did get the neat daily snacks, but no utensils to eat them with....hum. We tried the Relaxation Room once; it was nice. Access to the Persian Garden had to be arranged through the Spa desk. Since we are not into saunas, we did not arrange access. Yes the bath robes were plusher which my wife liked.

As for room size; the Aqua Class room and balcony seemed slightly smaller than the standard balcony we had last year (on the Equinox)..... However, the Aqua Class's larger bathroom, nicer shower and foot stools with the balcony chairs more than make up for a few less square feet. On the down side, the 12th floor overhang limits sun time on the balcony. .... on the plus side and since it rained 7 of the 10 days, the 12th floor overhang kept us dry.

AquaClass 2

Cabin A2

Our room location was aft, starboard. We liked the location. It was convenient and quiet. As for general maintenance, the balcony curtains were tattered, the carpet seen better days and trim around the closet is coming off. The room attendant did an excellent job of making the bed, clanging the towels and providing turn-down services, but lacked in cleaning. There was dust on the water glasses, ice bucket, and bathroom counter. My wife cleaned the toilet once or twice herself.

Port Reviews

St. Maarten

Shopped the first day. Taxied to Oriental Beach the second day. Rented chairs from the Orange (something) best deal on the beach. Washrooms were clean.

Fort Lauderdale (Port Everglades)

We did not do an excursion in Fort Lauderdale. As a quest at the Sonesta, we had access to beach chairs and towels on Fort Lauderdale beach.

Barbados

Love Barbados. We walked to the beach and had an awesome time.

St. Thomas

Just did a shopping day.
