We chose this cruise because of the size, age and amenities this ship provided and it did not let us down. While the port of departure was so cold, it did not permit us to enjoy much of the outdoor activities for the first day and a half at sea. This ensured that the indoor pool was remained pretty full during this time. We more than made up for the lost activity time at the first port of call in Port Canaveral. Since we are Floridians, we did not see a need to get off at that port and enjoyed a rather empty ship and were able to get on the Northerstar and bumper cars multiple times. I only wish they had a way to accommodate standby requests for the ifly skydiving. we notice that there were some instances where customers didn't show up for their scheduled appointments, we asked the instructor if we could fill a vacant spot, they said no, and that if a customer doesn't show up then that spot remains vacant. One has to wonder if the $25 no call no show fee has anything to do with this decision. Other than this, I can say that I was not disappointed and I would go again.
Beautiful view of the NY city skyline and Statue of Liberty while at the NJ port with a light post that only slightly obstructed the picture of the statue from our room. No problem as we were able to take pics from the deck.
This has to be the most run down origination port I've set sail from.(Not referring to the actual cruise terminal, just the immediate area).
