Celebrity, as always, delivered a wonderful vacation! Embarkation went smoothly and we were warmly welcomed on board. The Equinox is a beautiful ship - spacious public areas, roomy cabins, superb crew and delicious food. We love sailing on these ships and never fail to come away with sweet vacation memories and new friends. She's showing just a bit of her age with a few rust spots noticeable here & there, but overall, she's still a beauty.

On this cruise my husband and I were with several cruising buddies from over the years, and one of these couples were getting married after being together for many years. The wonderful crew helped us with just the right little extra touches to make this occasion even more special than it was already - and they did so with only the slightest mention about it from us! Love our Celebrity crews!!!!

This cruise also had an added attraction of sailing up the Mississippi to New Orleans for Mardi Gras. A first for many of us. It was an experience to be sure - a big hiccup here, though probably more the cause of the port than the line: Immigration. Wow - long lines, slow moving lines, a horrendously long walk with little direction or explanation... all for a 10-second look at our passports and form, then told "you're okay" and sent either out into the night or back on the ship. Going back to the ship was another long hike, and we felt very bad for those with ambulatory issues. It's my understanding that this was the first time for Celebrity to visit New Orleans - hopefully there were lots of lessons learned and next time will be much better.

Cabin Review

Concierge Class 2

Cabin C2

Our cabin was spacious, with good temperature/airflow. Storage was good, though not as much as we've had on other ships. My husband is short and felt that the bins over the bed were difficult to reach and not as helpful as they could have been, but I did not have any issues with them. We did have a small issue with a clogged shower pipe, but again, the crew was wonderful and fixed it right away. Our balcony was lovely, partially covered so that we were able to enjoy it no matter what the weather did. Lifeboats were a few decks below us, so we had a partially obstructed view, but only when looking straight down.
