Embarkation: very smooth, not a lot of waiting - we got to Port of Miami at 10AM and were on the ship before noon. It definitely helps to get there early; the Port really filled up by about 11:30.
Ship: Reflection is an absolutely gorgeous ship, decorated very tastefully and laid out such that it was rare to find ourselves stuck "in a sea of people." The general atmosphere of the ship is laid back, with passengers who are not looking for a 24 hour party.
Cabin: ours was a partially-obstructed Veranda on Deck 6. The obstruction came from the life boats hanging between Deck 5 and Deck 6 and did not bother us much at all. Our cabin was kept spotless by our great Stateroom attendant. The bed was very comfortable. There was plenty of room for luggage & other belongings to be stowed away. It was a quiet cabin.
Partial obstruction due to life boats below the veranda. You can still see straight out. The boats only block the view straight down. Cabin was comfortable & well appointed, lots of storage space, great bathroom with HOT water in the shower and good water pressure. Comfortable bed and furniture. Quiet location away from elevators (not a lot of people passing by in the passageway outside).
Embarkation and debarkation at Port of Miami. The process was smooth, and it pays to get there early (before 10am) on embarkation day. Things really get crowded by about 11 am.
If you're not doing an excursion, make Falmouth a pool day and stay inside the port area. ANYTHING GOES once you walk out the gate.
Great beach day -- had a wonderful time swimming and soaking up some sun.
