Had family going on this trip and tagged along. First impression of the public spaces was that they were clean and freshly done over. My cousins suite on deck 7 was lovely. Completely redone with a stunning bathroom and large deck. My room on deck 6 had not been touched and was tired and shabby by comparison. Cracks in the toilet, chips here and there with worn carpet and a tired little sofa. Because I was alone, I paid double for my room so I was doubly disappointed. The best thing was the large screen TV opposite the bed which came in handy since I caught cold immediately upon getting onboard. Very limited selection of channels but a new movie every day. A large number of people on the ship came down with the flu and since the ship had an outbreak in October, I don't think it's gotten over it yet. Many people were quarantined in their rooms for a great deal of the 2 week trip. As it was, anyone who had been sick was not allowed to debark in Grand Cayman Island. To their credit, the staff in the Medical Facility were quite competent and prepared for most anything. They were thorough and professional, calling to see how I was doing after my visit. The rest of the staff were also caring and professional and the food quite good. We ate a number of times in Pinnacle Grill which was excellent and enjoyed BB King's show. The Lincoln Center quartet were quite good even though they wound up being a trio when one of the musicians hurt his finger.
Tired, in need of rehab. Lumpy bed, average linen, poor towels. No table for the first 3 days.
