We chose this cruise due to destination and because we got a good deal price wise.

Our cabin was tiny and ill arranged but guess that goes with the great price. Our senior room steward was Tutu and he was wonderful. Very efficient and intuitive and he somehow remembered everyone's name on the first day!

Food on Lido and in main dining room surprisingly lacked the quality we are accustomed to on our cruises. Meats were tough and tasteless and there were few vegetable choices in the "Bistro" section of the Lido. The "Asian" and "Italian" sections of the Lido were however outstanding. Desserts were lackluster and saved only buy Ice Cream! Even sandwiches were disappointing -- breads not fresh and the crust on all of them were tough. I heard this from several other people so its not just me.

Cabin K

Tiny; ill arranged cabin although we thought the bathroom looked almost new even though it was typical cruise ship tiny.

Lighting was strange. One main switch worked 1/2 the lights & the other worked the other half. Lights were scattered throughout for both switches therefore we couldn't darken one section and have lights in the other area. Lights were "hot" & heated the room up tremendously.

We did have horribly strong paint or lacquer fumes for several days both in hallways and in our cabin - actually ran us out of the room. HAL did apologize and actually compensated us for it however air & vent intake needs to be better regulated when ship maintenance is being performed.

Senior Room Steward was Tutu and he was terrific.

Even though this cabin is located forward of the front elevators what little motion from waves we had was not uncomfortable.
