We choose the btb option as we were going to Mardi Gras but wanted something to add on.

The first 10 days of the cruise were fantastic, good ports, nice crowd on board good vibes. The Mardi Gras cruise was completely different. There were some people on the cruise for Mardi Gras who were determined that all guests should be involved in the Mardi Gras 'buzz' but people have different ways of joining in. Our friends came from all over and we had a good time in our own way. But Celebrity did not seem to have enveloped the theme as much as we would have expected but perhaps this was because it was the first visit. The CD John Grantham and Justin Actovities Dorector were great. Organisation by Celebrity could have been better re access to ship in New Orleans.

The second 11 days on several occasions we ate in the MDR but did not enjoy it as much as Blu for no other reason that it was much bigger!! The food was fine. The first wine waiter we had in the MDR corrected both my and my friends knowledge of wine, which even if it was correct is inexcusable to a customer. It was not correct. Unsurprisingly we then had a different wine waiter who was much more customer friendly.

Cabin Review

AquaClass 2

Cabin A2

Good quiet cabin, comfortable. Lack of storage space as I am not very tall and couldn't reach the storage above the bed.

Port Reviews

Costa Maya

Went on our own to beach - appalling and dirty

Grand Cayman (Georgetown)

Went snorkelling at Eden Roc under our own steam. Very good. Took tender back to ship early and were glad we did so as a storm blew up and the tender experience became alarmingly unsafe
