We've sailed with NCL a couple of times before and picked this cruise because we enjoy the freestyle dining. After reading some of the previous reviews we went with great trepidation, expecting an old tatty ship on its last legs. We couldn't have been more wrong. The ship has recently been refurbished to a high standard and although it may not be to the standard of other ships (with a much higher price bracket) we have been on, we were delighted. It has an elegance and charm (Versace carpet in the atrium worth $2million) and an underplayed elegance throughout.

The bathrooms may be a little dated, but were perfectly clean. We had a balcony cabin which is a very similar size to the majority of other balconies we have had,

The staff were delightful and all to eager to help. I guess a smile goes a long way with everyone.
