Me my family of 4 along with my brother chose this cruise for we had such a good time on a 10 day gem cruise last year. This time we were disappointed- first let me tell you cruise critics hit a bullseye with the complaints of smoke. On the gem we did not smell smoke anywhere except the casino. Because of its poor design on the breakaway you smell smoke on 15 / 16th decks going to and from buffet and in center atrium due to the casino you have to walk through.

Night one diner in the manhattan dining room a night mare food came out raw- steaks/pork loin when sent back waiter gave an attitude after 20 more minutes of waiting pork came back raw again and steaks under cooked, head waiter came over as half the party exited to go to the buffet. Our waiter reappeared 25minutes later with an attitude as we complained to his boss- dinning room was empty we sat at 530 seating. Last time we ate there. Savors dinning on the other hand service was excellant and head waiter horance reid made you feel special.

shore excursions were a night mare as when you exited ship a person gave a wrist band for buses- no lines were formed pushing shoving and a full circle around one person; a lot of fun with small children. At private island we had a tender time of 1020 am we did not leave ship to 1230pm; no information except seas were rough ; this was a lie-everyone that had an excursion or was a frequengent traveler were let off first along with haven cabin people.
