We chose this cruise for it's great itinerary and only one Sea-Day. We also wanted a cruise leaving from San Juan and able to experience the southern Caribbean islands. The only thing we would have enjoyed more is to have had the one Sea-Day toward the end of the cruise rather than so early (a little down-time to relax between the many ports we visited).

After flying in on Sunday, we easily found the taxi stand at the airport in San Juan. Prices are set by 'zones' and it was $17, including our 3 suitcases. While I waited at the cruise terminal, DH walked a couple of blocks to a small store to purchase a couple of 12 packs of pop (they never have coke zero on the ship) and a large bottle of juice. Turned out they didn't have the zero and were out of 12 packs, but he brought back 3-eight packs of diet, plus the juice, and we boarded with no difficulties. When we arrived at our cabin, our luggage was waiting and everything was ready for us. Our room steward was Nyoman, who was the friendliest person and remembered our request for fresh ice daily (and sometimes twice each day!).

Dinner was very casual the first evening and we chose to eat in the main dining room. But our scheduled seating was 8:15 each night. That turned out to be too late for us, as we never left the dining room before 10-10:15 each night. Dinners were slower than we've ever experienced, but we met some fabulous new friends at our large table for 10. I would choose the Anytime Dining option next time, but when we've done that previously we really missed getting to know our dinner companions. There must be a way to serve dinner without taking two hours??

Cabin 4C

Small cabin but adequate overall. We asked for additional hangars and received them promptly. No refrigerator. Door to the hallway let a lot of light in (we covered it with extra bedding). One outlet (we always bring an extension cord).
