This our third cruise with MSC and our last. The other two cruises with MSC provided exceptional meals and entertainment and that is why we booked with them a third time. To my utter disappointment, it became apparent as soon as we boarded that things had changed. Upon entering on the ship we were not provided with Voyager Club cards which we had applied for online and had been issued. We were told to go the service desk to straighten the matter out. After standing in line for 45 minutes, I was told that they could not find me on their computer and to go another floor and inquire at the Voyager Club Desk. Upon arriving there, there were two people in the booth working and a line of four other people ahead of me. After waiting another 45 minutes, I finally was able to speak with one of the women at the desk. She found my Voyager Club card information. I asked to be issued the cards, and was told they were unable to do so, that I would have to go back to the Service Desk for card issuance. I told them I had just left there and they were unable to do same. Realizing this was a hopeless situation, I gave up on the Voyager Club.

Upon returning to our cabin, (7:00PM) my wife informed me that her suitcase has never arrived. Since we boarded the ship at 10:00am I thought that was strange. Finally, I located it downstairs in holding as it had been searched and held because it had a tea warmer inside of it. I then went through the case with a cruise line official, and no tea warmer was found. the suitcase was released to me.

Finally, we made it for dinner at the late seating, and things continued downhill from there. The food at best, was what I would expect from a local diner. Proportions were exceedingly small and somewhat bland. Mashed potatoes, stuffing and vegetables were the size of a golf ball. I originally thought it was a joke, but to my dismay, it was not. You could get seconds, but by the time they arrived, others at the table were eating dessert. It did not improve over the entire cruise. However, there was one bright spot in all of this, our waitress was great and always smiling. The help on the ship was terrific, especially those taking care of our cabin. Every time you walked out of your cabin, new towels etc. were replenished and the room was kept spotless.
