We wanted to do a cruise out of NYC as it is not far from home. We stayed over night at the Hilton Garden in Ridgefield N.J. we got the room, breakfast and were able to park the car all week. It was a great hotel and good value. We were able to get an upgrade to a Haven suite forward pen house 10106. It was wonderful, it had so much storage we did not use it all. The bathroom was the best very large, soaker tub, and large shower, 2 sinks. The bedroom had a porthole window in front and was very comfortable. The living room was very nice large TV. Table, coffee maker nice furniture. The balcony was small but big enough for us to sit on and relax. Our room steward Micheal was great very nice and always smiling, I asked for ice all of the time and got it. We did not see our butler much, but to be honest we did not ask him for anything. We did get snacks everyday around 4. They were yummy.

The Haven area is wonderful, it has a small pool, 2 small pools with lounge chairs in them, 2 hot tubs, plenty of chairs downstairs and upstairs and outside. It is also covered that is nice going out of and into NYC in Feb. The Haven restaurant was really great the food was always good! The Asst. maître D Edgar was very nice and always making sure we were happy, his staff was great too. The concierge Anoop was very good and helped us with anything we needed. His staff was also very good.

The ship was very clean and beautiful. We did not use the buffet or the main restaurants as we had 5 of the specialty restaurants and the Haven to eat at. Ocean Blue was very nice the food was great. It had seafood and some other stuff. La Cucina was very good also had Italian food, we love Italian food. La Bistro was French and had very good food and service. Moderno was Brazilian food it was good, but I do not think I would go there again. Cagney's steak house was great the food was great and service was great! the asst. maître D Albanus was wonderful, very hard working and friendly. His staff was great too. Read more
