We had read a lot of bad reviews before boarding this cruise so tried to keep our expectations low. We were also aware that the boat was going in for a refurb at the end of our cruise and that had us worried that there would be a lot of things either broken or not in working order. This was not the case in our experience. Apart from our mattress being very hard, we were very happy with our cabin. Our cabin stewards were absolutely fabulous and definitely contributed to our enjoyment of the cruise. We found all of the entertainment to be of a high standard and varied. We really enjoyed the Gatsby Party, fantastic! And the farewell party on the last night was outstanding, expecially the Jam Session by all the entertainers together.

We had 3 dining experiences at Salt and all 3 were sensational. The food, the service the ambience, all were outstanding.

Our dining experiences at The Waterfront left a lot to be desired. There seems to be a lack of staff, staff training and budget in this restaurant. The food is either under or over cooked, usually not hot and often not what is stated on the menu. We only had one breakfast there and it was inedible and so bad that we did not return for this again. We never had a lunch there and I think we had 5 dinners of which 2 were passable. On one night I ordered spaghetti with prosciutto and parsley sauce. It came to the table as a bowl of cold spaghetti with a couple of pieces of parmesan cheese on top. No prosciutto or parsley whatsoever. Read more
