We arrived at the pier and were through check-in and passport control within 30 minutes. The priority check-in for platinum and above was very well organised. We have been on the Golden Princess for a few previous cruises and we were pleased to be on board once again. It still has the old television system and the new Princess beds have not been rolled out yet, but it is still a good ship and appeared very well maintained.

Unbeknown to us, some very good friends booked on the same cruise without letting us know. Imagine our surprise when there was a knock on our door and there they were! It was great to have their company on the cruise.

In general the food in the main dining room was good. Not as good as some ships we have been on, but still of a very high standard. The waiters were very attentive and knew their dishes. Read more
