Sail Date: Feb 2017
Cabin: Verandah Stateroom

Got a great deal 2 weeks before sailing date and amazed at all the frills offered. Our first Oveanis. Have done HAL, Princess, Celebrity RCCL, Disney and couple others and this cruise was the ultimate. We knew that food was emphasized so we couldn't lose with that.

Points of Highlite.

-the smaller ship size was fantastic

Cabin Review

Verandah Stateroom

Cabin B3

Was a handicapped room thus much larger than regulars. No tub but a large shower. Appeared to be 3-4 feet wider than regular B3 and both doors were extra width. Balcony was a normal size. No complaints at all. Heard no noise from adjoining rooms or casino bar under us. Bedding was phenomenal and nothing in the past to compare it to. Super! Didn't spend a whole lot of time in room but the time we did was great. Our own haven.

Port Reviews

Miami

Went from airport to cruise port. Embarkation was a breeze. Well organized.

Key West

You see it once you seen it all. We docked at navy pier so a bumpy tram required to get to downtown. Sufficed but dock in town is better,

Costa Maya

Genuine Mexican goods and souvenirs made in China. Not too bad with one ship in port but a real zoo when the monsters of the sea arrive. The neighbouring town is closer to the real Mexico.

Harvest Caye

A man made island 30 minutes from the real Belize. If you like beaches and costly food and drink, this is the place to go. The attractions[?] were shut down on our call there due to high?winds and rain. If you want to see the real Belize, this is not the place as you cannot even get off this island unless you take a ships tour. Gilligans Island had more to do than this man made sand trap.

Roatan

We docked at Mahogany Bay dock thus had to take a local taxi to see the island. The port area here is a combination flea market and genuine tourist trap. Once again if you are into the beach activities this is the place o be but those looking to see the real Roatan are out of luck here, a previous stop here we docked at the dock downtown and that allowed a much better idea of Roatan in real life.
