Sail Date: Feb 2017
Cabin: Superior Ocean View Stateroom with Balcony

We chose this cruise prior to travelling to India. The ship is smaller than many in the fleet but this is not a problem and does mean that tenders are not required as , in the main, the ship can dock near the towns. Some painting is perhaps needed around the balconies but this is not a major issue. The food was better than previous cruises and as usual the staff were exceptional. Special mention to Saschi in the Schooner bar. Hope I Have the correct spelling

We had taken a drinks package prior to leaving and while I initially thought this was overpriced when you take into account the price of drinks on the ship it was not too bad. I do think that 11 dollars plus 18% for a glass of white wine is just unbelievable. Does the ship not get alcohol duty free?

My main complaint was the ports. While Dubai and Abu Dhabi are well worth a visit,. there is no need to spend 2 days in Muscat, especially when there is only one in Abu Dhabi. Khasab is described as an up and coming tourist destination but I would suggest the cruise only returns when it is established. We spoke to no one that found it even slightly enjoyable.
