We chose this cruise for the interesting ports and we weren't disappointed. We were a group of 11--our adult children and their significant others, two other sets of parents and one aunt. For economy, we booked inside cabins on deck 2. We were barely ever in our cabins so this was a good choice. The convenience for getting on and off the ship was fantastic.
We ate at the 8:30 seating every night in the MDR. The first night, the service and food were not up to par and I was a bit worried. But over the rest of the week, Mario and Luciana took good care of us and even went searching for special requests. The food was tasty but not always hot. But overall, we were happy with our meals and didn't want to spend extra on the specialty restaurants. The soups were delicious and we were pleased with the lobster, prime rib and many of the fish dishes. The steaks were probably the poorest choice of the entrees.
The ports were wonderful -- St. Croix, we cabbed to Christianstad and visited the Fort, then went to Cay Beach for the day. The downtown area had some charming bars and we enjoyed cheap beers there before returning to the ship.
No issues with the cabin. Roomy and comfortable. Loved deck 2.
Spent a day prior to the cruise in Old San Juan! It was wonderful
too crowded with ships
Beautiful beaches
