The first thing we noticed was that all glass surfaces, external and internal windows, bannister dividers, etc., were filthy. We had an ocean view cabin on Deck 1, and that window even that had smeared blood on the inside surface (how the heck does that happen?). I know it's hard to keep glass surfaces that are exposed to the ocean clean...but, it appeared there had been no effort whatsoever to try...and, there is no excuse for inside windows or other glass surfaces to be that grungy.
The shower water temperature was extremely difficult to control. One had to constantly manipulate the temperature via the handle to avoid being scalded or frozen - extremely inconvenient. Plus, the water pressure was such that it almost felt like someone was urinating on your back rather than taking an invigorating shower.
WiFi internet service was available...but, only on a PER DEVICE basis. So, if you wanted to have access to your email on your phone, that was $48 to get decent speeds...and, if you also wanted to get email on a laptop, for example, that was an additional $48...wife's phone, another $48. All of this rather than $48 per cabin, as it probably should have been.
The cabin was pretty roomy on the whole, but, there is nowhere to store suitcases once they are emptied. "Climate control" consisted of a manual slide-controlled device on the ceiling that allowed or restricted air flow into the room. There was no control over the air temperature.
The remote control for the TV was mostly unresponsive...several presses of channel numbers or "channel up/down" buttons were needed for the TV to respond to inputs. There were limited electrical outlets available for charging phones/computers. Thank goodness we have learned to bring 3-outlet adapters with us on travel and we had a couple of those which expanded charging capability. There were no outlets near the bed, which we are used to in regular hotels.
There are no ice makers available on the deck...and, didn't think to bother the cabin attendant for ice.
We went to the WW2 museum and had dinner at K-Paul's. Wonderful time at both!
