This was my first cruise and I can't wait to sail on Holland America again. The service is impeccable. The food was delicious and you have many options. The ship is clean and large enough to walk off all the food but not overwhelmingly huge. The gym is fully equipped. I recommend splurging on a pass to the thermal suite - you can soak in the hydrotherapy pool after your workout and prevent sore muscles.
While I'm younger than the average HAL cruiser (44), I like an elegant, subdued experience, which HAL delivered.

Cabin Review
Interior Stateroom
I wasn't sure if an inside cabin would feel claustrophobic, but it was a comfortable size for my friend and me. You spend so much time out of the cabin that getting an inside makes sense to save a bit of money. There's plenty storage space for two. The movies on demand entertained us when we wanted a night in.
