2nd time on Star Princess and doubt we'll be back. We didn't choose the cruise, it was chosen for us by relatives. Embarkation was smooth up until actual boarding - Princess has a very slow system of taking your picture once you're onboard (but not yet in the ship) which made things very slow. Much to my parents chagrin the wheelchair assisted group boarded AFTER many of the regular passengers. Cabin was adequate and our stateroom attendant was great (Thanks Dimitar!). Ship in general is showing age and is not well laid out. Dining in the buffet was almost uniformly bland and terrible. Dining room was better but still underseasoned and overdone with rubbery seafood. Entertainment was adequate, but nothing special. Staff overall was excellent, and the captain was highly visible, moreso than any other Princess or other Cruise Line. Rough crossing didn't help the cruise, but it was disconcerting to hear the elevators banging around in the rough seas. One passenger was caught in the elevator in the Piazza early on a Sea Day.

Overall I think we are done with Princess -- not our cup of tea for cruising.
