We just got back from the 5 night Bahama cruise on Sunshine with our 2 children, ages 10 and 13. We have previously cruised on NCL and RC. This was our first Carnival Cruise. We chose Carnival because we wanted to leave out of Port Canaveral. Our kids were on winter break, and we did not have time for a 7 night cruise.
The boarding process was great. We did not have to wait in any long lines or sit and wait. We went through security checked in, and walked right onto the ship.
Our room was a balcony room on the aft on level 5. Our room was clean, and more spacious than we thought it would be. We only saw our room steward a couple of times. He cleaned our room twice a day, and we always had a towel animal each evening. We had a pullman bed, with a bed/sofa under. He left them made into beds our entire cruise. On other cruises they put the pullman away and make the under bed back into a sofa. I am sure he would have happily accomodated whichever way we preferred.

Aft-View Extended Balcony
The cabin was very clean. It was more spacious than we expected. There were 3 closets, one was all shelving. There were also 3 drawers and two night stands with storage underneath. We had a pullman and a sofa/bed underneath.

Half Moon Cay
We really enjoyed Half Moon Cay. This was the best part of our trip. There were water activities to rent. Both my children enjoyed kayaking. Carnival provided a very nice lunch buffet. We got off of the ship late morning and thought there may not be any chairs available. There were plenty of open chairs for everyone!
