Embarkation was quick and easy, and the people there were helpful and very friendly.

Our Junior Suite while smaller than the one we went on the Independence of the Seas, was still quite adequate for our needs and more.

The Empress was remarkably smaller for having been on the Independence and the Oasis, but what she lacked in size, she gained in charm. The library near our room and below the Windjammer was a nice place to read and relax, as well as watch the waves and any passing ships (unless you want to read The Art of War by Sun Tzu, bring your own book). There are several of these relaxing nooks on the Empress and each was charming and well thought out.

Cabin Review

Cabin Junior Suite

This Junior Suite would be very similar to a Standard Balcony Suite on the Oasis, except it does have walk-in closet space and the bathroom on the Oasis is better designed, the shower here is quite small. Otherwise, we found the suite had plenty of room for us and our things. The TV allowed HDMI and USB inputs, great for re-watching video taken from the day or programs and games we brought with us.

We loved the balcony and tried to eat breakfast and lunch there as often as we could and the reclinable furniture there made it lovely to relax and have a quick cat nap.. There was a slight to sometimes very noticeable rotten egg smell. Mostly we bared it, I told my wife it smelled like Venice, but on a couple of occasions it was overwhelming.

Even with that, I would highly recommend this room.
