This was our first cruise with Princess. We booked a Princess Package with flights and hotel in Singapore included. O, I wish we had been advised that we could have just booked the Cruise and got ourselves to and from the ship. The Princess package put us on full top priced BA direct flights with an overnight stay at the Stamford Swissotel where we would have saved over £235 alone if we had booked the room ourselves online. Princess must make a bomb on these packages. Our advice would be = Don't book a package. Do your own thing to the ship and back and you will save loads and loads and get flexibility to suit you too.

Unlike a previous review we found the transfers, embarkation and disembarkation process really bad. No one to meet us at Singapore Airport. In the end I found a group of Princess clients close to the baggage reclaim exit where we all waited for the Princess ground staff to arrive. They were not there to meet our flight !

On disembarkation day Princess want everyone off the ship by 9 a.m so this means the emigration system at Singapore is bursting at this time. It took us over an hour to get from the ship to the street. I felt like a sheep at a New Zealand sheep farm ! The lack of signs for the airport transfer was also very poor. I really wish we had done our own thing ! Next time we will. The result was that Princess had booked us on an 11 p.m. flight home asking us to leave the ship at 9 a.m. with an airport transfer ( 14 hour flight wait) ! One has to ask why would Princess do this when there are at least 3 earlier direct flights ? Read more
