Cabin: Balcony

We chose this cruise for its itinerary as a birthday celebration. Embarkation was smooth and birthday greetings and decorations were in the cabin on arrival. A cake and waiters singing at dinner made the day very special. Our cabin was spacious with plenty of storage and the balcony adequate.

The dining room menu was unimaginative and the food very average. Having cruised on NCL, RCCL and Celebrity where dining was an experience to savour we were extremely disappointed. We ate more often at Horizon Court, the bistro, as the food had more variety and was far tastier than that of the dining rooms. We didn't eat at any of the specialty restaurants as we believe that for the price of the cruise ticket quality, delicious food should be available for all and you shouldn't have to pay an extra $29pp for this.

We go on a cruise to relax so don't participate in many onboard activities. The Conservatory indoor pool was our favourite spot on the ship for swimming and relaxing as it was considerably cooler than the outdoor pool areas. Most indoor pool areas on ships feel like a sauna but this is definitely not the case on this ship.

Spacious cabin, small shower cubicle, adequate balcony. Cabin service excellent, efficient and unobtrusive.
