I've never been on a cruise before but my wife has. This ship is definitely smaller than the other cruise ships which did result in some noticeable rocking of the ship. However, this was not a bother to me at all. I personally think that it was nice having only a smaller crowd of people to interact with while at sea. The ship has recently been renovated and it all seems pretty nice. The most noticeable things for me were the extreme friendliness of the staff as well as the quality of the food. The staff was so eager to serve and extremely helpful. I was never hungry on this trip. If I was hungry between meals, which was rare, I'd stuff myself in the Windjammer. The Windjammer food was great and the dining room food at dinner was unbelievable. We did brunch one day in the dining room and it was fabulous. Being a small ship, the rooms were obviously small. The bathrooms were quite tiny and a very small shower. This did not bother me however. Childcare was great to leave the kids in every now and then when we wanted some adult time. Overall I was extremely pleased and would definitely sail on this ship in the future.

Costa Maya

We took a shuttle to the beach and went to the Tropicante. The Tropicante was absolutely awesome. Prices were great and we got a nice spot on the beach with chairs and shade. The service was amazing and we constantly had a waiter readily available to bring us whatever we needed, whether drink or food. The ladies got an amazing hour long massage for only $30. If you are going to a beach in Costa Maya, you have got to go to the Tropicante! The owner personally came out and greeted all the guests and made sure the service was to our satisfaction. I can't say enough good things about the Tropicante!!!
