First, let us begin by saying if you are considering booking a balcony room of Deck 7 (specifically 7586) beware...RC Anthem of the Seas deck plans are NOT accurate in any booking system. Most rooms on Deck 7 are obstructed views of the arms of the lifeboats or life boats themselves, even though the booking systems say they are not. We had a nightmare upon arriving to find our unobstructed view was actually a very obstructed view with two large white arms with lifeboats attached blocking our view of the water. Guest Relations Staff and Post Cruise Staff admitted they know their systems are not accurate, but it would cost far too much to update all their electronic web sites.

Overall food on board I would compare to typical diner food. Menus in the Windjammer for breakfast never changed, nor did they change in any of the dining rooms. Lunch menus in the dining rooms rarely changed, and again, the menu was the same almost everyday in the Windjammer. I was very disappointed when I could not even order different types of meat on the cruise without having to pay for it. No Filet Mignon, except to pay. Almost everyday there was Salmon on the menu. Only other seafood we remember seeing was Tuna and Cod. Chicken and Waffles, Fish and Chips, etc. were dining room menu items??? Service in the Silk was the absolute worst! A very small number of waiters appeared to know what they were doing or what was on the menu. Forget trying to get someone to refill your water or to get the actual food you ordered..it was always a surprise.

The iFly, roller skating, bumper cars were alot of fun! The staff made you feel very safe.

Cabin Review

Deluxe Ocean View Stateroom with Balcony

Cabin E1

Cabin balcony was about 7' x 9' x 11' x 8' on an angle starboard side. Would highly recommend.

Port Reviews

Bayonne (Cape Liberty)

Nice new facility, but because of all the construction surrounding the port, almost everyone we spoke to had just as a hard time as us trying to get to the port even though we could see the ship.

San Juan

Old San Juan is very pretty and appears to be very safe to walk around during the day. At night, we went back off the ship as I wanted to walk around and immediately saw homeless people begging, sirens, and that hair standing up on the back of your neck feeling.

St. Maarten

Love St. Maarten. Although the shop personnel downtown can be pushy, there still are alot of bargains to be found...you just have to haggle. Best shop: Ore Diamonte! Tip: RC does not tell you about them and do not place them on their maps because the businesses listed on the map have to pay a percentage of their sales to RC from the time the ship docks until it leaves for all the sales they make and the shop owners have to pay thousands to advertise on their map/port guide.

St. John (U.S.V.I.)

Very small area to shop. Extremely, overwhelming push, taxi drivers and tour operators at every inch of the small shopping area.

Barbados

Love walking around here downtown. Found a really neat free beach area and bar called Pirates Cove. Spent alot of time here before walking around town.

Martinique

Unless you speak and read French, it is difficult to buy anything and talk to anyone. There is only a small area outside the port with a few local shops. Otherwise, it is just walking through city blocks of shopping in stores in French.

St. Kitts (Port Zante)

Love St. Kitt! Sorry, the cute little monkeys you can hold in your arms and on your head are just too adorable to pass by. Prices start off at $20 for a photo (with your own camera), but after bargaining them down, I managed to get mine for $5 and evern got 3 photos.
