I usually like to sail the newest ships. However, the sole reason for picking this cruise was for a long weekend getaway to the Bahamas. It was cheaper than flying there and booking a hotel, plus the food came with it! Ship is a little rusty in places but for the most part, it was fine, and what I expected from a ship more than 20 years old. Room was fine, we had an interior cabin. One downside, which I noted ahead of time that others had the same issue, was the lack of hot water. First night was a cold shower. That alone would prevent me from sailing this ship again. Second night was warm but not hot. Third night was finally hot enough to say it was a hot shower (but not steaming if you like it really hot!) We did not do the specialty restaurants, but did order the chops filet the last night, because previous night's food wasnt great. It wasn't horrible, just okay. The bread was really good, and warm! And the servers were excellent, food served in a timely manner and hot. I thought the windjammer breakfast was excellent, lots of variety, omelet stations. Pool area: We didn't have any problems getting deck chairs when we wanted them. The hot tubs could be hotter; more like a warm pool and swarming with unsupervised kids, although i will say the security guy did ask them where the parents were . He also was asking ages/ids of some teens in the solarium who were trying to enter the hot tubs in there. For ports, we managed to make both stops, coco cay and nassau. Loved coco cay, beautiful weather, just perfect. We bought our own aquaventure atlantis passes from resortforaday.com for 129 each. Just hopped a cab there and back, much quicker and cheaper than doing it through the ship. All in all, the cruise satisfied our purpose. Perfect for three nights, but I wouldn't want to do a 7 nighter on it. (Didn't partake of any of the entertainment at night.)
