We booked the perfect adjoining balcony cabins for us, our Son, Daughter-in-Law and 3 Grandchildren on the Liberty. Much to our dismay, the Liberty had engine problems, went to Dry Dock and the Valor was sent in its place. We had been on the Valor out of San Juan twice and loved the ship. We were told that our cabins would match the sister ship but when the booking was re-booked, we were 150 balcony cabins apart due to 4 in one cabin, 3 in the other. Finally, after several phone calls, we were dropped down to deck 6 - 2 cabins apart and told "you are not in your cabin that much." (hand over mouth- not saying a word, 17th cruise!) Then came the fog, the port closure, delayed boarding.........staying in Galveston and finally leaving at 2am. Guess what? We had a blast anyhow!
We decorated our cabin doors, took Valentines and candy for the cabin stewards and our Dining room stewards, etc. It was cool and windy so several things were cancelled on the Lido deck like the ice sculpture, etc. but we carried on and had fun. We loved the shows. The crew was wonderful,
Cozumel was great as ever, we swam with stingrays. Progresso was interesting and we swam in a Ceynote which was wonderful after touring the ruins and being hot. There is only one plug so I am glad we took our 3 outlet plug. The grandchildren loved the towel animals every night - some nights even two! This was our first cruise with children and we could not believe how much they loved the Kid's Club! They did not want to leave! We sent our luggage down the night before but when our deck was called for self assist, we were told we could get off and just grab our luggage which we did. Embarkation went smooth and all in all we had a great time.
