This was our 8th cruise with RCI and probably our last for some time. It was a 10 night voyage to the South Pacific on 4/02/17. We have been Diamond members and in our early fifties. We like a drink and love the cruising experience.

This was the first time on Explorer of the Seas. We have previously been on Rhapsody, Radiance and Voyager of the Seas many times and loved it. We had a Grand Suite which was very nice but unfortunately noisy from young unruly guests walking past. The room is next to a Owners Suite and the other side is a Junior suite. Big bathroom, big loungeroom and balcony. Access to concierge lounge and gold sea pass. Nice!

Our suitcases with priority suite tags were lost till 5pm. It took longer to board this time due to a line up outside the Overseas Passenger Terminal.

Cabin Review

Grand Suite

Cabin GS

Excellent layout of the cabin. It is on the side hump of the ship. The Main issue is noise from above at night and being near the lifts and stairs. Too many unruly drunken young passengers on this south pacific cruise. Door bells continually pressed at night and the early hours of the morning. as they wander back to their inside cabins which were near the suites. Some Deck chair noise from above.

Port Reviews

Isle of Pines (New Caledonia)

Paradise!!!!! Best beaches on both sides. The pick of the South Pacific.

Sydney (Australia)

Great city, Boarded the ship there.
