My wife and I were looking for a Caribbean cruise that went out of a different embarkation port than Ft Lauderdale and one that wasn’t too expensive so we could take her sister also. This cruise seemed to fit the bill just nicely.

We decided to come to New Orleans a few days early to enjoy the sight of the city. Well worth the extra expense of time and money if you can afford it.

Getting to the port (or hotel) from the airport is best done by cab. There is a set fee of $36 for up to 2 passengers or $15p.p. for 3 and up. There is excellent public transport in the city and a bus runs from the airport to close to the port for $2 that might be a viable option for some, some walking will be required.

Balcony

Cabin 8A

This cabin is toward the aft of the ship and is right over the Burgundy Lounge and can be quite loud. Bring ear plugs

Port Reviews

New Orleans

Great city with lots to see and do

Ocho Rios

Don't bother with Dunn's river falls. Too crowded and too expensive for the experience.

Grand Cayman (Georgetown)

Good beaches and more of a North American feel to the shopping if that is what you want to do.

Cozumel

Good place for a beach day. Port is quite far from town and there is not much in town to see. Bit of a "Yahoo" place.
