Cabin: Penthouse with Large Balcony
We choose this cruise so that we could experience New Orleans. We flew in Thursday and checked into the Intercontinental Hotel. Great hotel in a great location.
We took a cab to the port but we could have easily walked it, but there was a marathon going on and we did not want to walk around barricades and run across the road with luggage. We were dropped right off at entrance.
We did an upsell from aft balcony to the penthouse with large balcony so once through security we were ushered right up to NCL check in and then off to a room full or suite guests. We did not get there until 11:30 so we had a very short wait and then they started guiding us to our staterooms.

We did an upsell to a suite. We loved the cabin!!! Balcony is amazing!! 3 loungers, 2 chairs and a small table. We had to pull up the loungers every night because water dripped off the overhang during the night. If you want dry padding pull them up to the cabin at night. We could always have sun or shade unless we were sailing right into the sun.
Bed could be encased in curtains so someone could sleep while someone was reading. Love set was by the door. Room had a large windows and two solid doors. No patio doors.

Costa Maya
Went to Costa Maya. We had a very relaxing day with awesome lunch. Drinks were plentiful but just ok in taste. We were an early arriving ship so we're were there by 8:30. Chilly but warmed up. Lounge chairs were built for taller people, uncomfortable for me. No padding! Service was excellent! Beach was being cleaned continually as we were sitting there!! Made me feel a little uncomfortable watching these hard working men while I was just sitting doing nothing!
