We chose this 7 day eastern Caribbean cruise because it stopped at 2 places we have never been before, Tortola BVI and Great Stirrup Cay Bahamas. Let me break down this review by categories.

Port and Embarkation: The Port of Canaveral is TOO crowded! There are 3 ships that leave and come back on the same day at this port and it is too small to handle it. Embarkation was over 2 hours late because the cruise before was over an hour late returning. Once we boarded everything was fine.

Ship: The Epic was the first "mega ship" built by NCL and is a one of a kind for a good reason, the ship layout is TERRIBLE! NCL admits they had design flaws in this ship and they took the good from and as they went forward building new ships. There is no deck to walk along outside the entire ship. Only a small walking track that is in the middle of the shuffleboard games and ends in the employee smoking area. NOT GOOD NCL! It took a couple days to get the layout of the ship down. After that we learned when and where to navigate and it was ok the rest of the week.

Cabin Review

Mid-Ship Balcony

Cabin BA

I personally liked the room layout even though a lot of reviewers do not. The balcony room with the bed near the balcony door is the better of the 2 options.

Port Reviews

St. Thomas

Went to St. John and to Trunk Bay on our own. Beautiful beach, snorkeling was disappointing.

Tortola

Visited the Baths on Virgin Gorda. This is a must see if yo go here!!!!

Great Stirrup Cay

Some of the best snorkeling we have ever seen.

Port Canaveral (Orlando)

Port is too small to handle 3 big ships leaving and coming back all in the same day.
