Great service in specialty restaurants. Beware the main dining room!

Sail Date: Feb 2017

We chose this cruise to sail from a different port. Boarding was a complete debacle. The ship wasn't able to dock on time due to fog however we ended up standing in line for 3 hours to board. We dined in the Mexican, Italian and steak specialty restaurants and the service was great in all 3. We attended a cooking class/chef's table lunch in the Italian restaurant. Antipasto, bruschetta, 4 pastas, and 2 desserts. The Mexican restaurant was also good and I had perhaps the best Margarita I've ever had. The steak restaurant was as good as always. The chocolate cake was to die for. We were to celebrate my husband's birthday but in spite of asking twice it never happened. The main ding room service was ok to below par. Well into the main course before we were able to order wine on 2 occasions. They lost an open bottle of wine. Took 45 minutes to retrieve it. Took a cupcake decorating class. Ours was all couples and was a fun activity. We enjoyed all 3 excursions, but one that was listed as 4 hours actually took 7 from the time we had to meet til got back to the ship with no opportunity to buy food. We enjoyed the ice show very much. We saw three different comedians. One was an A, one a B, and one a C. We also saw the singing group The Texas Tenors. Disembarking went quickly.

Galveston

We enjoyed Galveston. We toured the Moody Mansion and the Bishops Palace. The Moody was best.

Grand Cayman (Georgetown)

We'd done the stingrays before, but still fun.

Grand Cayman (Georgetown)

Loved the turtles.
