Carnival Imagination Review

A decent, inexpensive cruise line, good for who they are.

We got this cruise as compensation of another program's misrepresentation, but that's another review. ;-) Let's say we didn't have to pay for the basic cruise, only add ons such as shore excursions. Given the deal we got, and knowing the value of the cruise, I'll review based on what we would have paid.

My wife has been on Carnival many times, and to many locations. She took me on a 3-day drag on the sister ship of the Imagination, Carnival Inspiration, for that cruise.

The ships are nearly identical, and two of the older in the fleet. The ship was recently updated, and most things were very well maintained, with only a few little glitches which seemed to be addressed fairly quickly.

Cabin 6C

Our cabin was small, but comfortable. The bed was mostly comfortable, though the King was actually two Twin mattresses put together. Not great on the seam.

Only one power outlet next to the desk (two if you have a converter plug for European 220), and one switched in the bathroom. Cycle your charging! Windows could use a washing, too.

Cabin Steward, Michael, was fantastic! Always attentive, and good for a conversation when we meet him in the hall.
