Cabin: Deluxe Ocean View Stateroom with Balcony

We are experienced cruisers, 60-ish, Diamond members with RCCL and this was our 4th time sailing on the Quantum class. (Twice on each). This marks our 40th cruise and my 20th review on Cruise Critic. We booked this 3 days before departure and got the last stateroom on the ship which turned out to be our favorite cabin ever. Near the aft elevators (but not too close), very easy to find, an excellent balcony even though it is described as their smaller balcony. There is more storage in this stateroom than on any other ship. It had more than we could use and we packed for 12 days!

My last several reviews tend to be comparative in nature because we cannot help but compare any cruise that we are on with others in the past. I don't apologize for that because i think that people that read these reviews may be trying to decide which cruise to pick among a number of choices. With that in mind, I will tell you about our experience on the Anthem of the Seas which departed Bayonne on February 7th.

Firstly, If you wish to depart from the NY/NJ area, the Anthem is unquestionably the finest choice. We have tired of the Breakaway class (see my Getaway review from September 2016), Carnival sends older ships here and the Celebrity Summit, which we sailing on in June 2016 and are booked on for June 2017, is in a totally different league than Anthem. So here is the good, the bad and the ugly:

Cabin Review

Deluxe Ocean View Stateroom with Balcony

Cabin E1

Tons of storage, perfect location, spacious. Best cabin we've ever had on 40 cruises!
