My family and I cruised on Harmony of the Seas Feb 4 2017 Eastern.

The Ship-The ship is absolutely stunning, all though its the biggest cruise ship in the world, and you certainly do realize that when your you tower over other ships in port, when your onboard you really don't get a grasp how big the ship really is, the design of the ship is very well thought out. The week we cruised the ship was at capacity but I never once got the sense that I was on a crowded ship. The neighborhood concept on the Oasis class ships does such a good job about giving passengers different places to go that you never find one place overly crowded.

Dining- On the ship I had some excellent meals and some not so excellent meals. We purchased the BOLO program before boarding and it workout great. The first night we dined at Wonderland and the experience was amazing. We had tried Wonderland once before on Quantum of the Seas, and just like on Quantum it did not disappoint. When you dine at Wonderland you are not just going to eat its an experience and our server Shubert did an excellent job on taking us through our culinary journey, from start to finished we were amazed and satisfied. Our third night we dined at Park 150 and we had another amazing experience, the food was excellent along with the service. I loved the Lobster gnocchi and the Filet here is a must try. The rest of the cruise we went to main seating in the dining room table 341 for dinner, which I have always enjoyed on previous cruises but that wasn't the case on Harmony. I found the food in the dining room to be uninspired and lackied seasoning. On previous cruises I always found something on the menu of the dining room that I could enjoy, but on Harmony it wasn't the case, I never had one meal in the dining room that was memorable. Another issue I noticed was that our Waiter and Assistant Waiter were extremely overworked. Before the standard was the waiter had two tables to serve and the assistant waiter had three, but on Harmony both the waiter and assistant waiter had 5 tables each, which caused significant delays. Don't get me wrong both the waiter and assistant waiter were friendly and very good at their jobs but they clearly were overwhelmed. For breakfast we would go to the dining room most mornings, when we made it before the 10am cut off time. Which I found to be very annoying, 10am to me seems early to close the dining room on a sea day especially since our show the night before didn't end till 12:30am, isn't sleeping in a bit on your vacation allowed? Anyways the breakfast was good in the dining room, although the breakfast buffet in the dining doesn't have a lot of options, we tried it once and never went back , the rest of the mornings we just ordered off the menu. For lunch most days, we went to either the Windjammer or Park Cafe. The Windjammer was good, and I especially like that they make everyone wash their hands before entering the buffet to avoid potential cause for illness. Park Cafe was also great if you are in a hurry, especially on ports days if you have an early shore excursion, you can be in and out in 15 mins. We would also enjoy a late lunch in Park Cafe after being in port all day, lots of options and everything is made fresh. My final dining experience that I wanted to comment on was Izumi. I first tried Izumi on Quantum and I really enjoyed it, so I figured I would try it again on Harmony but things have changed. When I first tried Izumi on Quantum my dad and I left very full and our total bill was just under 40 dollars with tip. This time around my mom and I tried Izumi, I ordered two of the specialty rolls and two pieces of Albacore sushi, all my mom ordered was the veggie tempura appetizer and our total bill with tip was $60.00 which I found to be overpriced, and I'm from Los Angeles I am use to overpaying for sushi.

Cabin Review

Junior Suite with Balcony

Cabin JS

Cabin was great, clean and perfectly located. On the Oasis class ships I think deck 8 middle is the best place for a cabin because it keeps you centrally located to everything.

Port Reviews

Fort Lauderdale (Port Everglades)

I love leaving from Port Everglades its quick, easy and close to the airport

St. Maarten

One of my favorite islands
