Sail Date: Feb 2017
Cabin: Balcony

We stayed in 1115 - balcony in the front of the ship. WE arrived two days prior to embarkation and stayed at the Hyatt Regency Pier 66. It was wonderful and highly recommend. Will definitely return there.

We choose this cruise for the itinerary. Grand Turk and Caracao were two islands my wife had not visited previously. Overall we were very happy with the cruise. We had not sailed on Carnival for a number of years and were slightly concerned about what we would experience - party ship or not?? While still having that 'party atmosphere' we were pleased at the cross generational nature of the passengers. You could find the party atmosphere is your wanted or you could find a quitter place to chill.

Overall the ship was clean but it was obvious that it was a 'tired' ship. We learned that it is going into dry dock in the fall. Good planning. All of the public areas were tastefully decorated and very clean. Staff were very friendly and appeared to enjoy what they were doing. Our cabin as excellently placed - close to the spa and with easy access to the elevators and the decks. Perfect for us. Seas were moderately heavy but we did not feel much movement. The only negative to the cabin was the noise that sometimes occurred later in the evening when the staff were moving chairs on the deck above us.

Typical balcony cabin. Liked the bed being beside the sliding door to the balcony. Can be made into a sofa bed and upper bunk. Functional. Shower was good and the water pressure excellent. Our cabin steward Budi -was outstanding,

Port Reviews

Fort Lauderdale (Port Everglades)

Stayed at Hyatt Regency - Pier 66. Excellent. Have breakfast at the pool restaurant. The Pelican restaurant is a great place to eat as well. Free shuttle to the beach although you can walk.

Grand Turk

No need to go on a tour - the beach at the pot is very good. Sand great, shore line a bit more rocky than I expected.

Curacao

Love the walk about the area. Very pretty.

Aruba

Did a private tour and it was terrific.
