Just back 2 - 13th Feb around the med. I was a bit worried after reading some reviews but we had a great holiday. The drinks package was the best value we have ever had but this was our first cruise with NCL. We also had 4 specialty restaurant package and were not disappointed with that either. We visited the Italian and both had rib eye steaks to die for staff very friendly especially Mrs washy washy who is normally disinfecting your hand in the buffet restaurant. Their always seemed to be availability for this restaurant maybe because it is part of the buffet restaurant which is closed off on an evening but looked a felt completely different to during the day. We also tried the French restaurant which was our favourite this was up another notch service and food was fantastic we visited twice. King prawns with potatoes and artichoke in a white sauce and rack of lamb delicious. The lastly we tried Cagneys steak house which was fine but. No outside view at all and not much atmosphere, my husband had steak and I had king prawns on a skewer which was one of the more expensive on the menus but I was not blown away by them. The rest of the holiday we alternated between the Garden room and Windows I liked the garden room because it was smaller but my husband liked Windows because of its high ceilings, both had good food well presented although windows seemed to be hurried and we were out of the restaurant within an hour.

On other ships you have an allowance to spend when on a package and then you you pay the difference but on NCL you could have as many starters as you wanted and deserts but only one main but as many sides as you wanted very good value for money.

Our cabin was a balcony 11000 on the eleventh floor right at the front and no other cabin to one side which was good. We thought it may be a bit bumpy but it was fine you could slightly hear the music from the Galaxy of the stars lounge but nothing that would disturb you and that's only because we are not night owls. The balcony was small only big enough for too chairs and a very small table. The bathroom could have done with a deep clean if you looked hard enough but the bed was lovely and confortable looked like a new mattress with built in topper it was better than our bed at home. The coffe machine in the cabin was lovely it was nice to have a coffee before you faced everyone on a morning. New carpets had been laid in the main lounge this is a lovely lounge with some seats which ran all the way around the front of the ship with great views and a bit quieter away from the direct music or game shows. The theatre shows were very good and professional the grand finale show elements was fantastic. All in all we had a great time if only the weather had been a bit brighter.
