I chose this ship because it was the epic, i have gone on smaller boats the most recent pearl and loved it. I wanted to try a larger ship to see if it had more on board to keep me occupied at days at sea. The boat was clean for the most part easy enough to navigate, to get to areas like the gym you did have to access though room halls.
Dining reviews: The garden cafe was always clean same food everyday, the "buffet nights" were pretty much a joke, seafood night was, shrimp, oysters, and a salmon bake, along with the always there pizza, and burgers.
we did go to the crepe bar with two crepe stations that were usually empty and now i know why, the crepe batter is good, but they use just pile filling, which was thick and gross and I had to scrape most of it out. Just another short cut for them.{{{
The inside cabin I had was nice, it was inside it was okay, we had it set up as a double bed, there was less than a foot of clearance on each side we were smaller people so it was fine for us, the open layout bathrooms were not a problem for us married folks but my friends who were dating next door were very uncomfortable with it. its a opaque glass for the shower and toilet that are on opposite sides of the hall with a curtain to pull between for privacy. well if you are on the bed and your partner in the restroom, there is no sound buffering. you hear and smell everything. Going to look for a ship with a full restroom next time, we hated having the sink out sharing a desk, made a mess when washing hands.
our cabin attendant was friendly and thorough, but we always had the do not disturb sign up, and he would still come in and clean our cabin, even though I told him he didn't have to.(or want him to)
The ports St Thomas, We went to magens beach, it was nice no rough seas voted on of the most beautiful beaches, it is but the water isn't crystal clear which is sort of what i was hoping for, no snorkeling spots here. You can pay the NCL fee or you can pay $5 per person for the park and $8 per person each way via taxi. Much cheaper.
