This was the fourth cruise we have taken, and would rate this cruise quite low, in comparison. We had cruised on 3000+ passenger ships, previously, but that should not account for the difference in experience!
1) The ship is not well laid out for efficient passenger flow. There are many pinch points, that cause frustration, if you have somewhere to go. ie. Displaying passenger photos, where many are searching for their pictures, across form a protruding desk. Placing large, round chairs and tables that block isle ways when being used (Dazzles), etc.
2) Food offerings. There are two buffets, but the variety of food, and cuisine has more repetition than choice. There are two dining rooms, but menu is the same in both, and several items are very expensive add-ons. Our previous cruises provided superior quality, high end selections, that made us feel like we were at a high end restaurant. Every meal we had on this cruise left us feeling more like we had just eaten at Red Lobster.
Awkward getting into bed, with the couch/bed just 6" away, and upper bunk bed jutting out on the wall. Other than that, bed was comfortable, and bathroom worked.
Just walked around the port area. Not bad, once you get away from all the jewellery hawkers.
Nice island, but very rocky beaches, when you enter the water.
The embarkation was fairly smooth, but check in wickets are hidden behind pillars, slowing process down.
