My husband and I were invited on this cruise by my in laws. They were traveling with my husbands aunt and uncle as well. My in-laws and aunt and uncle are avid cruises. My husband hasn't been on a cruise in over 10 years and this was my first. Simply: I loved it.

We flew in to Houston, drove to Galveston the next day. My FIL parked the car, dropped us and the luggage off. The line was a little long for standard passengers but we got their early enough that it wasn't a problem. My in-laws went right through with their status.

The ship was so clean and the staff was so friendly. We had a promenade room on the 8th floor. It was perfect size for us. The dining was amazing. Food and service were great. Windjammer was clean and efficient, we ate at Rembrandt on deck 3, the food was just amazing. We switched tables a couple of times and had a fantastic waitress (Joy). We were able to watch the Superbowl no problem on the pool deck and theatre (go pats!). We saw both comedy shows, the Texas Tenors and Up in the Air show. All were great. Trivia was super fun and the people that ran it were great.

Promenade Stateroom

Cabin PR

The cabin was a good size. We had a king bed, two bench couches (one pulled out I think). The bathroom was small but big enough for us. Didn't find the hairdryer till the day we were leaving (under the mirror in the room) The room was cleaned twice a day, service was amazing.
