We had always wanted to experience the Panama Canal, and had been very satisfied with our previous cruise on the Oceania Marina. The Regatta is the smallest ship we've ever cruised, and we had an Aft Cabin (8069), so we were a little apprehensive.
I didn't know what to expect in terms of embarkation, as the cruise was sold out. However, we walked directly up to the counter, did our paperwork, and were on the ship within 10 minutes.
As this is a smaller ship, we expected smaller accommodations, so we weren't surprised, or disappointed. They were about what we had expected. We really enjoyed the Aft balcony, as it seems that we had a more panaramic view than normal. Cabin attendants were very friendly, and provided excellent service.
Since this is the smallest ship we had sailed on, we expected smaller accommodations. We weren't disappointed, but the rocking and rolling was a little more than the big ships, and required some getting used to.
Spectacular views of the island.
After a quick boat ride to see the arch, we took a taxi into town. The wives got a fish pedicure while the guys had a few beers at Cabo Wabo.
Full day seeing all of Acapulco. I can't imagine a better tour than this.
Interesting and educational, though not your typical tourist destination.
Took a bus into town for shopping and a couple of beers.
Hot, but beautiful plce
We've been here many times. Took a taxi to 7 Mile Beach for a couple of hours, then had. Lunch at Margaritaville.
