We chose this cruise because we wanted some winter sunshine and liked the sound of the ports visited. We also did not want a large, busy ship and the Viking Star just fitted the bill.

The atmosphere on the ship was excellent and we enjoyed the meals in theWorld Cafe and the specially restaurants. The Chef's Table is especially worthy of mention. We did not find the main restaurant very welcoming as all the tables were squashed together.

The state room was of a very high standardand we loved the balcony, although it was more like an international hotel room than a cabin.

Cabin Review

Cabin Penthouse veranda

Excellent spacious cabin.

Balcony lovely. Mini bar replenished daily but glasses not often left. Ice was replenished regularly.

Bed very comfortable. Linen, towels and robes of good standard. The shower was superb.

We did not need any of the adaptors we had brought as there were 2 USB sockets each side of the bed which enabled us to charge everything. The supplied hair dryer was one of the best I have come across.

The storage was very plentiful, more than we needed.

Excellent tour or island with great views. Enjoyed visit to Stony Hill.

Have visited island before so just had a walk around St. John's. Still one of my favourite islands.
