Carnival Triumph-Room-Left From New Orleans-Room 1042-2 people (my wife and myself)

The ship was nice considering all it's been through. The only issues we had with the ships condition were the enamel peeling on the wood on our balcony and the bottom of our bathroom door was slightly rusty. Just the ship getting old I suppose. But, other than that, no serious room condition issues.

Housekeeping staff was friendly enough. Our gents name was Suerhman (pronounced like Sherman). What surprised me is that the room stewards now give you sort of an id card with their name and room phone number in case you need to contact them for anything. I will say, though, I've had much more personable room stewards in the past. Who knows, though...Suerhman could have been having a rough week. I know Carnival works them to death. They have very little time to relax.

Cabin Review

Cabin Panorama Deck-Midship 10th Floor

The location of our room was unfortunate. 1042 was our cabin number and it is apparently directly underneath Carnival's kids/teens club. It was as if Carnival was hosting a jumping contest above our room. I thought for sure a ceiling panel was going to come crashing down. I understand the need for the kids club, but my goodness...do you have to involve jumping jacks and or running in place in your activities? haha. Lucky for us, we didn't spend too much time in our room anyway. Other than the galloping children above us, the room location was nice. Just one floor up from the lido deck and it was mid-ship, so you just walked down the steps and your at the pool, blue iguana tequila bar, and the rum bar.

Port Reviews

Progreso

Terrible. Progresso is a filthy and smelly.

Cozumel

Loved Cozumel. Great snorkeling!
