We saw this deal last August for three nights in New York and return by QM2. We had never been to this city before and always thought that we would try one of the "Queen's" at sometime so the two came together nicely.
Neither disappointed but this is Cruise Critic so lets confine ourselves to the ship. We have been on most of the other lines, Princess, Celebrity etc, but this is undoubtably the premier ship. She is stunning, perhaps helped by a complete refit a few months before we joined her. We passed through some very rough weather but she was as steady as a rock. She is the only fully classified transatlantic liner, as opposed to just a cruise ship, and it shows.
We had an obstructed balcony cabin as we couldn't imagine wanting to sit out on the balcony in midwinter Atlantic, which proved correct. Everything about the cabin was more than satisfactory from layout and cleanliness to the tireless room steward. Nothing was too much trouble and all with a smile.
