Cabin: Superior Ocean View Stateroom with Balcony

Exotic destination in the sun,a cruise combined with a 3 night stay in Dubai, was what I wanted to have.

The embarkation at 11 am was quick and in no time was I inside the ship.

The staterooms were available at 1pm,but the waiting in the sun was pleasant and the time passed very quickly.Having been on the Independence of the Seas several times I expected the Vision to be in the same league. But it is not.The Vision is in the need of a complete overhaul,it is fraying at the edges, lacks any cosiness and comfort where one can get lost for an hour or two and just read or watch the life go by.

Cabin Review

Superior Ocean View Stateroom with Balcony

Cabin D2

Large room, lots of storage space, very uncomfortable king size bed, ugly old fashioned furniture, big balcony with two hard chairs one had to sit on and not be able to adjust to lie on, filthy water in the guttering. The nicest part about the accommodation was the white large for a ship bathroom,it had a tub and a shower fitting, but the wash basin was too small and too high to wash in easily. The toiletries did not seem to be of good quality.I had to ask for tissues and was told one box only would be provided and the second one had to be requested,as people "used too much paper"!The TV set was old fashioned,no music channels. The internet connection was very poor,it should not be sold if one cannot be connected.

Port Reviews

Muscat

Nothing had prepared me for what I saw in the back streets of the port of Muscat. The poverty, the desolation, utterly shocking, heartbreaking.
